Arvind Kejriwal apologizes for Delhi Daredevil’s loss to Kings XI Punjab
New Delhi: Apology King and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has unleashed another apology, this time to Delhi residents. After Delhi Daredevils lost their opening match of the IPL this season, Arvind Kejriwal has apologized to all Delhi Daredevils supporters for the poor performance of the team.
In a written apology, Mr. Kejriwal said, “I know you have been let down time and again by this team that you support. I can understand the frustration that you must be feeling at the team’s performance, several of my colleagues feel the same way after our performance in Punjab and Goa. Even though they promise an improved performance every year, they end up fighting for the last spot. I was told that they have assembled an excellent squad this year but apparently, I was misinformed and this was just fake news forwarded to me. I am hurting like all of you and on behalf of the team, I want to apologize to all of you.”
Further in the letter, he wrote, “Every year you used to have faith in Kings XI Punjab that at least they will be giving you company at the foot of the table. However, they showed in that first match how they have left us behind and may not even compete for the last spot this year. To change this status quo, I have forwarded to the LG a proposal to change team’s fortunes by next IPL, hopefully he won’t reject it like my other proposals.”
When we asked Delhi Daredevils management whether they asked Mr. Kejriwal to apologize on their behalf, a senior member of the management team said,” Oh no, not at all. Why should we apologize in the first place? Fault lies with the supporters who expect anything different after watching us play for the last 10 years.”
