Kejriwal likely to sack Law Minister Jitender Tomar over allegations of fake degree
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is likely to sack Law Minister in his government Jitender Tomar after a allegations of a fake degree were raised against him.
Bihar-based Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University had informed the Delhi High Court that Tomar’s law degree is fabricated. The institute had claimed that Tomar’s law degree does not exist in the their records.
The university said that the serial number on the provisional certificate has the name of some other person in a different stream of study.
However, the Law Minister rubbished the allegations and termed them as baseless. “BJP Leaders have nothing else to do than bring up some issue or the other. The university never denied that I was a student, there are so many students they could have forgotten, I have all my records in place, these are baseless allegations,” he said.
